Seminar for the Master's course Smart Materials and Systems
Welcome to the Seminar for the Master's course Smart Materials and Systems
The seminar will be held on Thursdays from 16:00 to 18:00 in room FH4.
The first event will take place on 16.10 - here we will discuss and jointly work on relevant topic such as
- how to find and read scientific papers
- how to design a presentation
- how to cite sources
- presentation styles
From 30.10 on we will have students’ presentations which are based on recent scientific publications. Topics for the presentations are chosen from the field of:
- Semiconductor materials
- Opto-electronics
- Material characterization
- Photovoltaics
- Microelectronics
The respective papers will be suggested by the course administrators.
For passing the Seminar and getting the credit points you need to:
1. Give two seminar presentations (each 20 min plus 10 min discussion)
2. Attend at least 8 seminar events (an attendance sheet will be provided and signed)
These requirements can be fulfilled within one or two semesters, which means you can give your presentations during one semester or during two semesters.
